Robert Blue Moon’s name partly derives from Robert Leroy Johnson (May 8, 1911 – August 16, 1938) an American blues singer and musician. His landmark recordings in 1936 and 1937 displayed a combination of singing, guitar skills, and songwriting talent that has influenced later generations of musicians. The ‘Blue Moon’ portion defines his way of living, he is an open-minded individual who loves to defy what people claim to be impossible, in essence an impossibility defines something that cannot occur, exist, or be done. In Roberts’s eyes even if he accomplishes 1% of what an individual has deemed impossible their claim is no longer valid.

Robert Blue Moon has been attempting to create a blue moon event in his everyday life, this is what drives him. Blue Moon was born in Orlando, FL. Through music classes he was able to gain the ability of reading and writing music and through those very same classes, he was able to take up the Saxophone & joined a jazz band. Thereafter, once entering High school Robert went into a short hiatus from music, but was drawn back into it when given a chance to enhance his voice by joining a choir.

Currently Robert Blue Moon Is working on His Debut EP “Plexus Solaire” set to release in late 2016, his EP is described as an “intergalactic crash of the Boom-Bap, Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul, Indie, and Funk influenced by the cosmic spirits of past legends”. To kick off the release of his Debut EP is the single titled “Cosmos”, A song that is a story of a young, intelligent African-American boy who desires to change the world one day through science, a boy who is in tune with the world around him; he feels the very vibrations of the soil underneath his feet, the weight behind the words people speak and sees the light many try and seek and the darkness behind the smiles and the pain in the streets. This young boy is not feeling the world but being felt by it, that coupled with the fact that his upbringing is one many wish to never see, he feels that his only get away from it all is to look way above him and imagine himself flying into the night sky and finding peace within the depths of the “Cosmos”.
