Menlo Black currently resides in the city Orlando, FL. Although spending middle and high school in Central Florida, his formative years were spent in Ft. Lauderdale, a place he still calls home. He’s always had a passion for anything that involved music. At the age of 6 his parents enrolled him in a choir where he learned the theory of music and singing techniques. He kept those practices fresh while involved in the drama program at Cypress Creek High school in Orlando. It was there he met fellow students who loved hip-hop as he did and began working on beats and short verses. Upon graduating he enrolled at The University of Central Florida working toward a bachelors degree in Radio & Television. Although Robert Blue Moon and Kwayzar attend school in a different city they were determined to continue using their talents together. Using knowledge of Logic and FL Studio, Menlo donned the unofficial title of producer and continues to use his talents to find like-minded individuals who share a passion for music. Menlo Black was a moniker derived from Menlo Park, California, where Google was first invented. Menlo’s commitment to deep and entertaining verses proves just as innovative as the concept of Google itself. With the color black, reminding him of his Haitian ancestry and American roots, he strives to help any and everyone through the music that has treated him so well.
